Our cozy maisonette apartment is located in Niederdresselndorf, right in the heart of the beautiful Siegerland region!

Its name, EDEL (meaning "noble" or "elegant"), reflects its elegant character and is situated in the romantic Hickengrund valley!

Modernly furnished, this 85 sq m apartment invites you to relax and unwind! The apartment is ready from 3 pm on your arrival day. With contactless 24-hour check-in via a key box, a stress-free stay begins right at the doorstep. The apartment is located on the upper and attic floors of a multi-family building with a separate entrance and a romantic view of the village.

The entire apartment features tiled floors and underfloor heating. The attic floor offers a comfortable bedroom and study with three beds. There is also a second bedroom on the lower floor with two beds. An additional sleeping space can be provided on the sofa in the living room if needed. A travel cot for a small child can also be provided upon request. The apartment is ideal for families with up to three children. For business travelers, we recommend a maximum of five people to ensure separate sleeping arrangements. The two bathrooms, each on a separate floor, invite you to relax with a bathtub and a view of nature. With several wardrobes in the sleeping areas, the apartment offers plenty of storage space and room for luggage. Two small balconies provide outdoor seating for one or two people each. A comfortable workspace with Wi-Fi is also available for business travelers. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for self-catering. However, with a bakery and café right next door, as well as a snack bar across the street, you can also treat yourself to culinary delights or enjoy a delicious breakfast on the ground floor. Linen packages including bed linen (duvet cover, pillowcase, and fitted sheet) and towels (one large and one small) are included in the price.

The surrounding area, with its beautiful natural scenery, is perfect for hiking or cycling. The famous Rothaarsteig hiking trail is also nearby.

# Impressions from a local resident:

Wherever you approach the Hickengrund valley, the church is the first thing you see. Streams meander through the village. Beautiful old houses, some still featuring lovely oak timber framing, line the streams and narrow lanes. On the hillside, the Wetterbach stream is contained by a beautiful dry-stone wall, complementing the church's architectural style. Two beautifully restored old bakehouses, one of which is now a museum, grace the old village. The second, and likely even older, bakehouse in the village of Histerdorf is still used every year for baking authentic Schanzenbrot (a type of bread) and other delicacies. Adjacent to this historic bakehouse is the Old School, lovingly restored by the residents, which now provides a special ambiance for all kinds of events. It is the hub for all the activities of the local history society, such as exhibitions, lectures, celebrations, musical performances, and meetings. It's also a meeting place for hikes, village festivals, the Christmas market, St. Nicholas Day, and much more. A genuine village life in the heart of our beautiful valley with its meadows, coppiced woodlands, and forests—protecting and preserving these for future generations—has always been a core value for our forefathers.

The apartment is a self-contained unit within a multi-family building, but it has its own separate entrance.

Our second vacation apartment, SCHICK, is located right next door. For larger groups, both apartments can be booked together.

A driving school and a shop for everyday necessities are also located in the building.
